With this variation, you’ll have an available 4.4L TwinPower Turbo V8 engine, which unleashes 523 horsepower and 553 lb.-ft. of torque. Optimize your experience even further by selecting the M Competition. It has the 4.4L TwinPower system as well, but it delivers 617 horsepower and 555 lb.-ft. of torque. All trim levels of this vehicle come with a standard 8-speed automatic transmission, and they have a 7,200-lb. maximum towing capacity¹.
Safety Features
In order to maximize safety, the makers of the 2026 BMW X5 introduced a series of driver-assist features. One of them is the standard Forward Collision Mitigation System², which lets you know if other vehicles are in front of you. If it appears that an accident could occur, the stopping power will autonomously engage, thanks to the Automatic Emergency Braking System². When you mistakenly move over the lines on the freeway or city street without a turn signal, the standard Lane Departure Warning² will notify you about the error and help you steer back onto the designated part of the road. This is a practical amenity for those long trips from home to destinations like Wesley Barrow Stadium. On your way out of traffic, the standard Active Blind Spot Detection will let you know about motorists on adjacent sides of the SUV.
Technology
You and your passengers will be dazzled by the standard 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 14.9-inch central touch display.
